Director Zhang Yuyan and fellow colleagues attended “Belarusian-Chinese Scientific and Practical Seminar on Expert and Analytical Support of Scientific and Humanitarian Cooperation between Belarus and China in the Context of Implementing the ‘One Belt, One Road’ Initiative”, organized by Economic Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

On January 18, 2018, IWEP Director Zhang Yuyan and his research team visited Economic Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and participated in “Belarusian-Chinese Scientific and Practical Seminar on Expert and Analytical Support of Scientific and Humanitarian Cooperation between Belarus and China in the Context of Implementing the ‘One Belt, One Road’ Initiative”, organized by Economic Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Prof. Kovalenia, Academician-General Secretary of the Department of Arts and Humanity of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, delivered welcome speech. Prof. Belski，Director of the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, chaired the Seminar. IWEP Director Zhang Yuyan gave keynote speech “The Belt and Road Initiative and China's Open Up”.

Participants at the Seminar had active exchange on a number of issues, including economic, trade and investment cooperation between China and Belarus, priorities of development strategies of both countries, development of “Great Stone” China-Belarus Industrial Park, economic reform and opening up policy of Belarus, exchanges and cooperation among think tanks of the two countries. Mr. Alexeevic, General Director of the Scientific and Technological Park, Executive Vice-Rector of the Belarusian National Technical University, Mr. Leshchenok, Deputy Head of the Administration of the “Great Stone” China-Belarus Industrial Park, Mr. Leshchenok, Deputy Head of the Administration of the “Great Stone” China-Belarus Industrial Park, as well as scholars and experts from Belarus State Economic University, Belarusian State University, and Economic Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus delivered presentations. Government officials from Belarusian Ministry of Economy, representatives from media and enterprises also participated in the seminar.(2018-01-18)
